Map Analysis
- Business Directory of Moderate Size located in bottom left corner
- Moderate number of businesses in comparison to other Philadelphia neighborhoods
- No major roadway along the east side of the river
- Some street names have changed
- Much smaller area than what is considered East Falls today
- Good amount of Industry and manufacturing
- Many practical services are close by
- Buildings are much more dispersed than what they are today
- Stores on other side of Ridge Ave., more space on river without Kelly Drive
- Very much a seperate entity and town
- Much more business oriented than East Falls today (James Street center of business)
- Lots of Transportation including Philadelphia and Norristown Railroad station, River with steamboat landing, and Ridge Ave. roadway
- Transportation connect East Falls strongly with Center City Philadelphia
- Residents most likely worked in factories near which they lived
